Our newly renovated suites provide you with the opportunity to run your own private practice business (with your own established fees and policies) alongside other professionals, eliminating the isolation and loneliness that can often accompany such an endeavor. Past topics include overviews counseling theories and techniques such as EFT, IFS and DBT, client issues like Grief, Sex and Porn Addiction and Anger Management, and other aspects of counseling include using Assessments and considerations for going into Private Practice. Creve Coeur Community Counseling provides graduate counseling students with an interest in pursuing private practice post-graduation the opportunity to complete their internship in such an environment while offering low-cost, affordable counseling to the STL community. Karissa is a St. Louis transplant, originally from Idaho. Prior to her role at CCCA, Karissa’s background was in office management and human resources. She enjoys being part of an organization designed to serve both the helpees and helpers in her community. In addition to CCCA, Karissa also sees clients in her own practice.

Graduate Intern Supervisor
Sara is from St. Louis and has a bachelor’s in psychology from Mizzou and a masters in professional counseling from Lindenwood. In addition to her own practice and supervising interns, she is also an LPC supervisor.
Throughout her career, she has worked in several different therapeutic settings from inpatient to intensive outpatient, in-home therapy, and private practice. She has conducted group therapy in a hospital setting for addiction as well as mental health issues and has worked with and diagnosed those with severe mental illness. In her private practice, she sees a wide range of people with different life struggles.

Graduate Intern Supervisor
Shelley is a Licensed Professional Counselor and St. Louis native. She earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology from UMSL and Masters degree in Counseling at Lindenwood University. Her passion is helping people identify their strengths and reach their full potential. In addition to private practice, Shelley is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Professional and School Counseling at Lindenwood University.
