David Kohlhagen

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. I have been treating individuals, couples and families, and studying, applying, teaching and practicing metaphysical knowledge and insights for forty years. I treat a wide spectrum of psychological symptoms and diagnoses, and I have specialized training, experience and skills in treating couples, personality disorders (except Borderline Personality Disorder), addictions and chemical dependency, spiritual issues, and PTSD and trauma of all kinds. I offer extended therapy sessions of two hours and more for a more intensive therapy experience, when it is appropriate. Hypnotherapy and metaphysics is part of everything I do professionally. I apply metaphysical understandings to clients’ spiritual crises and I help to resolve their confusion about their identity, their individual purpose and meaning in life, and the significance and value of their challenges and issues. I teach people how to identify and connect with their uniquely individual path, even as I continue to learn about it myself. “Path” is being fully connected with what you truly are, beneath all the masks, acts, personas, trauma, addictions, bad habits of mind, and confusion about identity and self-worth. Connecting with path is about learning to let go of all the things that you are not and it is about learning to trust your inner self, for we are far more than our physical being.
