Yes. CCCA and its employees are known as a “covered entity” under HIPAA, which means we are subject to all of HIPAA’s rules and guidelines. We closely follow HIPAA in order to protect the security and privacy of all health information. Independent therapists partnered with but not employed by CCCA are advised to do the same. However, CCCA is not liable for the conduct of those therapists.
Some of our providers accept Medicare. We do not have any Medicaid providers at this time. Please contact us for more information.

That depends on your circumstances. According to the American Psychology Association, most people begin to experience noticeable changes in 15-20 sessions. Some folks are coming for a specific life event that may be addressed in 6-12 sessions. Others with more complex cases may see their therapist for longer periods. You can decide with your therapist what feels appropriate for you.

CCCA’s immediate availability is a key aspect setting us apart from other offices where you may have to wait weeks or months before starting therapy. Thanks to our large staff and varied resources, we should be able to schedule you within one week.
Graduate interns are still finishing their education and being supervised by a fully-licensed professional. Therefore, we are able to offer their services at a low cost, $35 for individual sessions (50 minutes) and $50 for couples or family sessions (80 minutes). Because they are students, they work with CCCA for a limited time (usually two semesters) and cannot accept insurance. Some cases may be too complex for a graduate intern and will be referred to a seasoned professional. Seasoned professionals have graduated from an accredited program with a master’s and/or doctorate, have spent >100 hours with a licensed supervisor and have been fully or provisionally licensed by the state of Missouri. They can therefore offer more sustained therapeutic relationships and may accept insurance.*
A graduate intern is a second year master’s student who is completing their degree requirement of a 600-hour counseling internship. While most interns will be graduating within two semesters, some stay with CCCA for three semesters. Each is closely supervised by a fully-licensed counseling supervisor who monitors their cases on a weekly basis. Graduate interns cannot accept insurance.
A seasoned professional has graduated from an accredited program with a master’s and/or doctorate in any of several categories within mental health. They have been fully or provisionally licensed by the state of Missouri and possibly other states, too. Seasoned professionals have extensive experience, can offer a more sustained therapeutic relationship and may accept insurance.*
