CURRENTLY TAKING NEW CLIENTS
Hello and welcome!
I’m Breann, and I’m happy you made it here. You are taking a huge first step in seeking support- feel free to give yourself credit for that.
I am a graduate student at Maryville University, pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In addition to being a counseling intern, I am also a board-certified Music Therapist and an advanced trainee in the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music. My approach towards working with clients is rooted in evidence-based practice in combination with a genuine care for humans undergoing healing in this incredibly complex journey of life. My integrative style is shaped by therapeutic approaches such as internal family systems, psychodynamic therapy, and client-centered therapy. I heavily value trauma-informed care; being sensitive to the ways in which trauma shows up in life remains at the forefront of my practice.
I have a background working with individuals navigating experiences like trauma, neurodivergence, personality disorder challenges, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, psychotic symptoms, and substance use. I have a special interest in supporting clients healing from trauma. I have worked in a variety of settings including in clinics and inpatient psychiatric units. I work collaboratively with clients to help them to build the life they want to live, meeting them exactly where they are at with open-mindedness.
As your therapist, I will create a safe space for you to explore your inner workings and express yourself fully. I will be by your side and bear witness to your experience as you find and embody the beautiful version of yourself that already exists inside of you.
Here’s to the next step in your journey!
