CURRENTLY TAKING NEW CLIENTS
Life can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re dealing with anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, past trauma, or the stress that comes with a major life change. You may feel stuck, exhausted, disconnected from yourself or others, or simply unsure of what to do next. You don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
I’m Katie, and I work with individuals, couples, and families who are looking for a supportive place to talk honestly about what they’re experiencing and begin moving forward. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out.
I especially enjoy working with clients navigating anxiety and stress, trauma, grief and loss, relationship concerns, life transitions, and medical or health-related challenges. My background in medical social work has given me a unique understanding of how physical health, mental health, relationships, and the stress of navigating the healthcare system can overlap.
Therapy with me is collaborative and tailored to you. Depending on your needs, I may incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, mindfulness, and other evidence-based approaches. I also have training in play therapy and sex therapy and have completed Level 1 Gottman Method training. Rather than approaching therapy as though I have all the answers, I’ll work alongside you to better understand what you’re experiencing, recognize patterns, build practical tools, and identify changes that feel meaningful to you.
I believe a strong therapeutic relationship can be an important part of healing, and I am committed to providing inclusive and affirming care for people of all backgrounds and identities. Whether you’re facing something difficult right now or simply know that you want life to feel different, I’d be honored to support you as you take that next step.
Ready to get started? I’m currently accepting new clients for in-person and virtual appointments.
Katie is a graduate counseling intern completing her Master of Social Work at the University of Missouri–St. Louis and practices under the supervision of David Chernof, LCSW, Lic. #2000164411.
